🤠🎄 Celebrating Texas Christmas at RES! 🎄🤠 Our beloved Texas Christmas tradition is in full swing! This special time gives our students the chance to learn about the rich history of Texas and Texas holiday traditions while adding some western flair to their day. From cowboy hats to boots, our students and staff bring their best Texas style to life! We love blending learning with tradition and seeing the pride and excitement in our students as they celebrate the Lone Star State in such a fun and festive way.

🎄🤠 Texas Christmas Magic at RES! 🤠🎄 Our beloved tradition, Texas Christmas, was unforgettable this year! We added some exciting new treats for our students, and one of the biggest surprises was a special visit from Cowboy Santa and Mrs. Claus! 🎅🤶 They stopped by Rusk to read Texas Night Before Christmas to our students during lunchtime. The 3rd graders were left speechless, and the 2nd graders were absolutely floored with shock and excitement! Cowboy Santa even shared his secret to Christmas magic and interacted with our students in the most loving and heartwarming way. It was truly magical to see the wonder and joy in their eyes. Thank you, Cowboy Santa and Mrs. Claus, for bringing the spirit of Texas Christmas to life!

🎄🤠 Texas Christmas at RES! 🤠🎄 Our beloved tradition, Texas Christmas, was bigger and better this year! We added some special new treats for our students, and it was such a joy to see their excitement. This year, we invited our community cowboys and ranchers to join the fun! These gentlemen greeted our kids in the car and bus line this morning, making it a truly fantastic experience. The smiles, laughter, and sheer amazement from our students said it all—they absolutely loved it! Thank you to everyone who helped make this tradition extra special. Texas Christmas is a perfect reflection of the joy, warmth, and community spirit that makes RES so unique!

RES Family and Community, What an incredible night! Tonight’s Singo Bingo was a huge success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. Our community truly showed up and showed out, filling the room with energy, laughter, and joy. It was a packed house! This event was more than just a campaign to fundraise—it was a beautiful reflection of the joy, togetherness, and spirit the Christmas season should bring. Seeing our families, students, staff, and community come together (and SING) in such a special way was truly heartwarming. Thank you to everyone who planned, volunteered, and participated in tonight’s event. Your support makes all the difference, and we are so grateful to have such an amazing RES family. 📣 Exciting News! We are thrilled to officially announce the school board’s approval of our very own RHS alumna and recent December graduate of SFA, Alanna Goldsberry, as our new RES Speech Teacher! 🎓 Alanna will be working under our district’s Special Education Department, providing speech services to our RES students and some students at Rusk Junior High. We are so excited to welcome her to the RISD family and RES team! Please join us in giving Alanna a warm welcome as she begins this important journey with us. We know she will do amazing things for our students!

Our students showed up and showed out for Camo Day as part of the 12 Days of Attendance Incentive! We’re loving the creative outfits and their commitment to being present every day. Keep it up, RES! 🎄

🌋 Our young scientists were hard at work last week during science rotation with Mrs. Peters! Students had a blast exploring volcanic eruptions through hands-on experiments. Learning is always more fun when it’s explosive!

☔️ A HUGE thank you to Kona Ice for the giant umbrellas! They are lifesavers in the car line, especially on rainy days. We’re so grateful for your generosity and support for our school! 💙
