We are all different, but we all count! {What a wonderful “Leadership Book” class activity for the book “Zero”!}

Don’t forget online registration for baseball/softball will be open starting January 2nd and will close February 17th.

Baby Belle Camp for Kindergarten through 3rd grade hosted by the RHS Eagle Belles will be January 28th.
(Students may sign up at the door, but they will not be guaranteed a tshirt.)

Come participate in Little Dribbler’s Camp! It’s the last chance to sign up in person!

Coding with Ms. Starkey was a challenging task that the students were eager to conquer! Put simply, coding is giving instructions to a computer using a language that computers can understand. Coding in elementary school is creating the workforce we need for the future!

School Board members work hard, unpaid and behind the scenes, to guide the District in providing a quality education to Rusk ISD students. January is School Board Recognition Month, and Rusk Elementary School salutes this special group of volunteers — the seven elected members of the School Board. They take on the job of governing the District, making the best decisions they can for our children, with the full understanding that they will receive only the satisfaction of their contribution. We truly appreciate our RISD School Board!

Rusk Elementary School says thank you to those who serve and protect community members every day.

Parents, we apologize for any inconvenience but the transportation department is short bus drivers this morning. Bus 19 will not start picking up students until 7:45 and all should be picked up by 9:00. All other bus routes will run as scheduled. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call the transportation department at 903-683-5566 after 10:00 this morning. Thank you for your cooperation and again we apologize for any inconvenience.

Show your college colors!

2023… We’re ready!

Happy New Year! We would like to extend best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year. It’s a pleasure to see all of the children, teachers and staff back at school after a long, well deserved break. This 2023 new year brings new hopes, dreams, and aspirations for students. Early in the school year, students set hopes, dreams, and academic goals for the school year. Upon returning to school from the long holiday break, it is important to revisit those initial hopes and dreams to determine how much they have accomplished.
Warm wishes all the students and families. A New Year is like a beginning of a new chapter and therefore, we must make the most of it.

Happy New Year!

3rd Quarter Campus-Wide Leadership Book

Merry Christmas!

It was the last week before winter break for Rusk Elementary students and Mrs. Oliver had quite the plan to help them get in the holiday spirit.

That’s a wrap! 🎁 Our RES class Christmas Parties were a great way to wrap up the first semester.

The 2nd Grade 2nd Quarter Incentive Trip to the movies and park was a blast!

Mrs. Boudreaux’s 3rd grade students chose their favorite book, wrote a book report and made an ornament about it to hang on their class Christmas tree.

RISD Early Release on Friday, December 16th at 1PM.

Please remember that today is an Early Release day at Rusk ISD. We will be dismissing students at 1PM. Rusk Elementary School holiday parties will be celebrated with students and staff only. Parents may come through the carline to pick up students after the 9AM attendance bell. We wish all of our students and families a wonderful holiday.
