Friday Morning Meeting is our favorite way to celebrate our students!

RES welcomed Rusk Police Department Officer Smith to campus last week. He has been making his rounds around town introducing himself to the community. He toured our campus, introduced himself to staff, greeted students, he interacted with students during a game in P.E., and met with students in Mrs. Goldsberry’s classroom and discussed the role of a police officer in the community. Children engaged with and ask questions of the officer, which helps to build trust and familiarity with members of the law enforcement community. We welcome Mr. Smith to our community and invite him to stop by anytime to say hello.
